The IRRIGA Magazine (Brazilian Journal of Irrigation and Drainage) was founded in 1995 by Prof. Emeritus Antonio Evaldo Klar and initially intended to disseminate the scientific work developed in the Postgraduate Program in Irrigation and Drainage at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences, Botucatu campus, at the “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” State University. It deals with the use of water resources in irrigated agriculture, a topic that corresponds to more than 50% of the research developed and works published in the area of Agricultural Engineering.

As of the second half of 2014, the identification of articles by the DOI system was implemented. Authors, when including the DOI in CV Lattes, do not need to include the Journal's ISSN since the system places it automatically.

We have a commitment to offering a non-profit dissemination vehicle and with low publication costs for authors, creates a platform for national and international science to be exposed.
