Since then, the magazine has been the main vehicle of promotion of the knowledge generated by research deployed on the Energy in Agriculture Graduate Course, fulfilling its mission to strengthen energy awareness in Brazilian agriculture. Since 2012 the journal began receiving external articles, including new areas, seeking to meet new themes within the Energy in Agriculture area. In March 2013, new editors jointed the group contributing to a more agile process of publication.</p> <p>In 2019, new scientists were organized to increase the investigation areas towards new guidelines of Research and Scientific Publications. Our commitment is to disseminate updates in the coverage areas of our Journal.</p>https://actaarborea.fca.unesp.br/index.php/energia/article/view/4520POTENCIAL DE LODO DE CURTUME E MOINHA DE CAFÉ EM SUBSTRATOS PARA PRODUÇÃO DE PIMENTA CAMBUCI2023-04-20T09:44:13-03:00Dayvson Dansi Rodriguesdansibio@gmail.comSávio da Silva Berillisavio.berilli@ifes.edu.brVinícius Rodrigues Ferreirarodrigues.ufes@gmail.comCarlos Humberto Desiderio Pirovaninadipirovani@hotmail.comJulio Cesar Fiorio Vettorazzijuliocesar.f.v@hotmail.com<p>The objective of this study was to evaluate fruit production and the development and quality of cambuci pepper seedlings produced in a substrate formulated by mixing dehydrated tannery sludge with composted coffee moinha. The proportions (v/v) of 5, 10, 15, 20, 50 and 100% of tannery sludge mixed with coffee moinha were tested, compared with the commercial substrate Provaso®. The experiment was implemented in two stages, in a greenhouse, using a randomized block design. In the first stage, 480 seedlings were produced in the treatments and the emergence, biometric, physiological and quality characteristics of the seedlings were evaluated. In the second stage, 96 of these seedlings were planted in the soil and their survival and fruit production were evaluated. Scott-Knott and Dunnett tests (p < 0.05) were applied, in addition to correlation analysis comparing the steps. The proportions of tannery sludge/coffee moinha of 10/90%, 15/85% and 20/80% presented the highest values of development and seedling quality. The correlation analysis between the steps did not show significant results. The substrate with 20% of tannery sludge showed the highest averages in the second stage.</p>2023-12-22T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 ENERGY IN AGRICULTUREhttps://actaarborea.fca.unesp.br/index.php/energia/article/view/4614SWEET POTATO PRODUCTION COSTS AND LEVEL OF SOCIAL REPRODUCTION IN FAMILY AGRICULTURE2023-09-27T13:47:52-03:00José Bonifácio Martins Filhoboni.martins@outlook.comRaimundo Nonato Távora Costarntcosta@ufc.br<p>The registration and control of production costs is not an activity commonly performed by family farmers. However, it is essential to understand the composition of costs to improve agricultural management, as well as to ensure good financial results. The objective of this work was to identify the production costs of sweet potato, and to simulate the added value and income of the farmer for a family production unit that wants to implement an irrigation system. The ABC costing method was used, and the average cost, the average fixed cost and the average variable cost of sweet potato were determined. The socioeconomic analysis was based on the determination of added value and income of the producer as a function of the useful agricultural area. To produce 1.0 kg of sweet potato in the analyzed period, a total expense of R$ 0.47 was required. The production of sweet potato in family farming had labor as the main cost (R$ 6,215.00 per hectare). This agricultural activity allows the maintenance of the activity by family farmers who have small properties, ensuring the level of social reproduction under the conditions studied</p>2023-12-22T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 ENERGY IN AGRICULTURE
